Once a year (or twice, if I'm lucky) my mom and I go to Nepenthe. It's a great spot right off Highway 1, in Big Sur. The food is good, the view is even better. In my opinion, it's the perfect place to go for special occasions, or if you just need to get out of town for the day and feel like a drive down the coast. And I pretty much always feel like taking a drive down the coast.This delightfully artsy photo was taken by "1 LB" (oy vey, who would name their child 1 LB ?). Oh wait, I guess his real name is Brad Overcash. That's better. Not that there's anything wrong with being named 1 LB, no judgment...
